Thomas S. Williams incoming correspondence, 1854.

Correspondence concerning arrangements for a meeting of the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions in Hartford, Connecticut, in 1854, and replies to the invitation to attend, the majority of which were arranged alphabetically by Williams. The arrangements included publishing notices of the meeting in newspapers, trying to obtain reduced train fares, and organizing housing for the delegates. Other members of the arrangements committee included Henry L. Miller and Daniel S. Dodge.

Williams was a member of Connecticut state house of representatives, 1813-16, 1819, 1825-29; U.S. Representative from Connecticut at-large, 1817-19; superior court judge in Connecticut, 1829-47; mayor of Hartford, Conn., 1831-35.
